Not convinced on Tommy’s songbirds..but it leads me on to thinking of songs and singers.

Megfitz, could you give us some guidance about the sort of answers to be expected in the Mens sana .... section. Could they be almost ANYTHING to do with health, the mind, the body etc?

I think Emeritus is almost certainly right with Nightingale Nurses - those who did their training at St Thomas's Hospital (affectionately known as Tommy's).
