Has anyone managed to find a 9 word phrase using the 46 letters of the answers to the questions. Have been trying to solve this all weekend, without success, and suspect quiz setter will lose out on an awful lot of entry fees if an answer isn't found.

Have you got the 46 letters please.
That makes it sound as if you think people wont pay to enter it if they cant solve it That surely isn't the right attitude
Smouse - your's is the wrong attitude also. Constantly criticising others with no intention of helping.
poodledoo, please post the letters
My plan is to extract all the obvious seasonal word and whatever else I can glean and then put the remainders in brackets.

I have a few questions with alternative answers making a clear list of letters a bit tougher.

It will go in whatever I do.
1581960... ...I have asked on two previous threads and have been struggling for a couple of weeks with the anagram. I can post my 46 letters if you think you could help... ...even a clue would help towards the 9 word phrase :o)

the problem is there can be different answers to the questions e.g some people call the visitors to Jesus Magi, others call them Wise Men,others say kings, and there are no numbers in brackets to suggest which is correct.I know Leecon had a different set of letters to mine.Who is to say which is correct.Like Mamyalynne, I can pick out words such as Christmas but the remaining letters don't fit into a phrase of 8 words,so maybe my letters are wrong, which is why I'm not posting them.
I also believe there are some alternative answers to 3 or 4 of the questions which is what is making the phrase difficult to get. I have tried varying the alternatives but still come up with nothing so I too will be sending in with a phrase made up of Christmassy sayings.
can we have the letters please x

oh sorry wrong place x
I’ve already posted mine off but if it’s of any help this is what I did. Like others, I really struggled to find a meaningful phrase with the letters I’d got. So what I did then was to ignore my letters but think instead of Christmasy sayings, the type you might see on a Christmas card for example and I easily found a nine word phrase. From there I worked out what letters I had and those I didn’t have and ended up with something like (I can’t remember exactly) short of 1 C and 1E but had 2 A’s over. I then looked at those A’s and just like poodledoo said, there are various answers that fit certain clues. By tweaking those answers with the surplus letters it worked out. I stress again that my example is not of the right / wrong letters as I can’t remember what they were! Hope this helps but if you don’t solve it, do send in your entry anyway.
I have already thought of a 9 word phrase so will work on it with the answers I have.
I'm still stumped! Does anyone want my letters to see if they can help me with another clue? I must have been a real thicko for the past two weeks...my head hurts :o(
Disappointed that so many people are asking for help to solve the 'appropriate phrase' - for appropriate think no further than the theme of the quiz. Agreed a very few of the answers might have some alternatives but the answers are still easy to work out and as someone pointed out you can create some words and then make a good guess at the others and look to see which 'alternative' answer fits...................Please do return your quizzes. St Andrew's has bills to pay and you have had some entertainment solving the clues - there is a random draw from all returned for £5.00. Happy Christmas to all and thanks for your support
