Seems that many just follow the adverts of eating turkey/trimmings/Xmas pud,/mince pies instead of being adventurous on Xmas day.

The usual boring fare, so is anyone going to eat something exotic? Croc, ostrich, buffalo etc?

My friend said she wanted to have lobster but was unsure that that was around in jesus’s times, LOL, she’s not even religious.

I said I don’t think vol a vents, Camembert cheese or rose champagne were either unless m&s’rs were a thriving chain back then, lol, so anything exotic or a break from the norm this year?

I only know what we are having on Christmas Day and that is lamb, expect it will include the usual potatoes, sprouts etc, my SIL is cooking so its up to her what goes on the menu.
Egg and chips, maybe a couple of fried tomatoes.
um! croc or buffalo at least we would get a leg each x
I have eaten kangaroo, buffalo meat, horse meat, that was supposed to be beef... and Ostrich, not all at the same time i might add and not at Christmas time.
Ostrich steak, roast potatoes and stir fried mixed veg.

Still Christmassy, chips instead of roast potatoes and a turkey egg, nearly had a blond moment and was going to say do turkeys lay eggs? Lool! Can you get turkey eggs? I’ve only seen chicken, duck and quail
The Mrs is cooking crocodile for Xmas dinner. I'm telling her to hurry up and make it snappy :-)
I love the 'usual boring fare' and will thoroughly enjoy it ...
We're having calamari as a starter!! Love it, can't wait.
We are having cottage pie on Christmas Eve. That's exotic enough for me.
I'll just be grabbing something from the freezer.

However I've bought a few frozen meals from the excellent 'Cook' range, which our local farm shop sells, to consume over the Christmas period. (I can't afford their prices every day!) So whatever I have will be a bit different to the norm.

This is possibly my most likely choice for Christmas day lunch (served in a giant Yorkshire pud, perhaps with some green veg):

but I've just noticed this on their website, so I might go back to the farm shop to see if they've got it in stock:

Just found out we have Buffalo for Christmas Day, sounds good, Only Tash and myself here 'til middle of next week, so we are having a combined Christmas and New Year celebration next weekend when Mrs B is Back and a couple of Tash's Sisters will be here.
Nothing exotic here. Chicken, duck and beef.
Sashimi for starters
Lobster for main course
We were going to have venison but in the end decided it was too deer.
