Both answers above look good, although don't seem related to Winter so maybe there is no theme

I thought main = sea, so sea food.
I think entrees precede the main course

IThe Balaclava one also features in the Wisbech quiz where answers are seasonal words, so I wonder if this is the same quiz. That puts a questionmark over seafood and scribe though I think
