Can anyone help me with this please.

This town lies on a river which is a tributary of a better-known river. The town shares its name with the surname of a man who was the inspiration for a famous novel. Cobblers I hear you say. Well, if you are from this town that may be fair comment.

lies on the River Nene.

Selkirk - on Ettrick Water, a tributary of the Tweed.
Inhabitants are called Soutars (cobblers)/
Alexander Selkirk was the inspiration for Robinson Crusoe.
