Thursday. Rather mild out there this morning. Got a doctor's appointment at 0820 this morning, so I will be off early.
Had a lovely evening at the quiz night at the hospice last night. My friends from Gloucester enjoyed themselves, so much they offered another raffle prize, a day out for four, with lunch on their narrowboat, with us aboard as well of course. That was auctioned at the end and raised £150, I don't know the final total yet, but with the money raised for the raffle and entry fees the evening raised will be well over four figures.
G'day mate. It was a grand evening. The organiser, Julia, is as mad as a box of frogs, but in the best possible way. She's riding from London to Paris on a bike, to raise money for the hospice.
It's been wet here for what seems like ages. Everything is soaking. It's been blowing an ooligan to go with it too.
That's that one answered. :o} I do know that she enquired about it, but I agree with you minty, I told her that last time. I would think that, knowing her, she's hooked a lift on the train! It would be a good donation from the company, wouldn't it!
I'll phone her later and ask her. Watch this space tomorrow!
