Saturday. I haven't looked out yet, but will do shortly. I had a wee lie in this morning. didn't get back from the hospice until late. The evening went very well. The speaker was an ex-RAF Navigator on Hercules aircraft. He was in some parts of the world as me at the same time. It's possible I flew in his aircraft on several occasions. We had a chinwag when he'd finished. A nice bloke with a good sense of humour. We've arranged to meet up in the not too distant future.
The bar took just under £200. Not bad. There was a gallon tin of beer with a built in tap. Now I've opened many of those, this was the one that didn't open properly. It went all over my trousers. I thought I hope I don't get stopped by the old bill on the way home. they'll never believe me!
Down on the canal today. The weather report is good, so we should be busy.
Morning all - seems ok out there. Still got the internet issue - just hit the heady heights of 0.3Mbps when normally it is 7 to 9.....some woman the next level up having taken over the inquest.....strange - put new lines in and the system is worse than before.
well the exchange is 2.5 miles away but got no end of day report yesterday from this gal (she was on until 9pm) - she did say that she would ring today as well so we shall see. The phone is working well....
Morning wbm xx and allxx woopee no frost just as well as my central heating is not working its fireing up but nothing happening .then to crown it all put stair light on to go up last night and that blew .Hope they don't send out one of your wee men out wbm or I will freeze to death .Have you been sorted out yet ?
A mouse had been chewing at vital wires wherever mine is...all the while orange insisted the problem was my hardware or BT line... took nearly 2 weeks for them to look there and was remedied in 15 mins
morning wendi, if its oil, you can remove the inspection window sleeve over the boiler and that lets more air in and often results in ignition.....put it back on after say 10 minutes as then the system should be warm.
Just shows you - the wiring from the phone/router box to 500 yards away where they finished with new wiring last year has been replaced...so, in my non-tech opinion, it must be in the exchange.....and midjob when the old wire was there, it surged to 3,5Mb when they put the phone back on for the evening and that was on the shot-out wire. Most odd.
