Sporting Death Or Glory?
9 Answers
I was watching an interview on Sky Sports News last night which focused on the Australian Cricket team ball tampering scandal. The pundit on there was speaking about the lengths sportsman will go to to win. One of the things he mentioned was a study where sportsmen and women were asked would they take 5 years of unparalleled success knowing it would will them. The study may have been from the 70's or 80's, it concluded that it was roughly 50% that would do it. The same study was done recently and although much lower there were still a number of people who would sacrifice their life for a number of years of sporting success
Did anyone see the interview, it was about 7pm or 7.30pm last night on Sky Sports News, i'm sorry but i cant remember who the pundit was. Can anyone remember who the author of this study was as it was named after him?
