In Answer To My Accusers Over In Editor's Blog.

In a recent thread in Editor's Blog, which unfortunately as now been closed, I was unjustly criticised for the following text:

How do you know that, are you coming out of the closet at last?

Which was in answer to this:

I went to the trouble to explain the above post which some seemed to find so rude, here is the exclamation that I took time to construct which did not get to be published due to the closure of the thread.

I just find it rather strange how some ABers minds work, obviously by their response they must have thought that I was referring to jackthehat's sexuality, when I was in fact referring to her 'coming out of the closet' by admitting that she was a Mod.

You could have used a less ambiguous phrase.Coming out of the closet has a certain connotation, but you probably already knew that.

I did jack, just as I hope you didn't think along the lines of those who seem obsessed with your sexuality.

Coming out of the closet has indeed certain connotations, but for persons of an open mind reading what I was actually asking you, it seems obvious to me at least, that I was referring to you coming out of the closet and admitting that you held certain information that only a Mod could hold.

Even had it had been any other ABer I would have asked exactly the same.

Purely my observation but I think the drifting into openly naming former banned users and discussing them (which flouts a site rule) was primarily the cause for the thread closing.

Well I did naomi, I didn't wanting the snide comments to go down on record without the chance to defend myself, or for jackthehat to think the same as my accuses, it was my way to try and apologise to jack if she thought the same.

Seems to me though, that it is yet another case of some being offended on behalf of others.
