Sunday. A pleasent day in the Visitor Centre yesterday. After a miserable start the cloud cleared and the sun came out, As always some lovely people came to see us, one couple from Australia, they are now members. They also sponsored me for my skydive :o} We closed at 1700 I shut the door then realised I'd left my jacket on the back of the chair. Couldn't go back in and get it, the keys are in the pocket. Duh So I'll have to go back down there today and get it. While I'm there I'll get the staff on duty, long standing friends, to put their hands in their pockets too!
I'll be going to the Hospice on Tuesday to get the fundraising boss to help me set up a dedicated web page for donations.
The meal at the Anchor in Thornbury was up to the usual high standard, I had pork in cider. Sitting at the next table were friends of ours, so a delightful evening was had by all. I got home just after 2200!
sounds like you had a wonderful and productive day.
mine wasn;t so much, read for a good part of it and caught a few zzzz later in the afternoon.
the storm this morning had me awake, plus the pesky buzzing of a fly, and i can't stand them at the best of times.
I'm expecting some scronky weather here today emmie. I hope I'm wrong mind! I don't like flies either. I can't think of a single thing it their favour.
all well, if the weather holds might venture out to the market, nearest is a bus ride away, but we'll see. I don't need much so it might be i take my book and sit in the park. Its still very humid so i wonder if more storms are on the way.
I'm fine thanks danny. Going to have a quiet(ish) day today, back in the visitor centre tomorrow, up to the hospice on Tuesday, they are going to help me to set up a dedicated web page to make it easier for people to donate for my skydive.
