Not All Women Have Joined The Feminazi Movement
It's nice to see that not all women have joined the hysterical stampede to join the Feminazi movement citing events of years ago.
Well done Mariella.

I might start a METE (Men Entitled To Equality) movement. Any potential interest on Ab ?

I agree with her. I do think it is double standards for the media to be ram packed full of smutty comments about Aiden Turner and that is considered OK whereas a man doing the same about a woman is classed as some pervert.
But it is a question of fact and degree. We mustnt lose sight of the fact that appreciation from afar is quite quite different from unwanted touching (for ANY sex).

Of course it is different from any unwanted touching, but the unanswered point Fostrup makes is entirely correct. It is a massive double standard that women are allowed to vocally or in written form swoon over good looking men, and yet if I were to make salacious remarks over the utterly utterly and ageless Liz Hurley I'd be considered at best inappropriate but more likely as seedy.
It is double standards.
It is double standards.
That is the very definition of double standards garaman. Me saying I'd like to give Liz Hurley one would be treated differently to a woman saying they'd like to have a go on, say, Colin Firth.
You only have to look at the most sexist, not to say misandrist, TV show on television, Loose Women.
There is no way if the roles were reversed would men be able to get away with the stuff the women spout on that show.

Garaman - good luck with saying the sexes are different and don't need to be treated the same. That will have Harperson spitting feathers.
If we're striving for equality surely both sexes absolutely should be treated the same. Otherwise we'll have standards lowered for women to enforce equality. That's not good for men or women, and more importantly is not equality.
The best boss I ever had by a country mile was a woman, and she got there through merit, not by lowering the amount of merit needed to get the post (I know I'm swerving off topic now).

This is where you get into the equality gone made scenario. Of course there are many things that should be equal, like the same pay for the same job, opportunities in the workplace etc. But that doesn't mean everything has to be equal. We don’t have to dress the same, we can still open the door for a lady, and we can accept that women might be offended by things that wouldn’t offend a man.
