thank you captain2
DURHAM?
County Durham falls between the dales and Northumberland - it's also a breed of cow.
Prof, I was trying to come up with the name of a meaningful waterfall (falls?) but no joy.....
I tried that as well Captain2 - 'Durham' was a lucky guess (if it's right of course).
59. Good fences make good neighbours. I'm still stuck on 58 but can't find a relevant waterfall or place name. Don't like Durham much.
Linton?
I like your 59.
Even with the lowercase 'f' I thought it might be worth looking at some of Frost's last lines. I checked quite a few but managed to miss it - could have done the same with the waterfall (odd to pick two areas without a common border though).
There is a Linton in the Yorkshire Dales and also one in Northumberland.

That must be the link dannyk13 - perfect.
It's me again being a pain!!!!!! All the answers contain something you'd see in the countryside so what is a "Linton". Please feel free to throw things at me Prof and Danny.
Not the whole word but LIN which is a waterfall (alt sp 'linn').
any help with question 12. A brand of beauty and health care products (5) and 39. 13th derby Winner (4,4) any help much appreciated
Although, to be fair Kustard, I'm not sure if that's what's meant by 'contain'.
39 John Bull
12 BOOTS?
