Still Coming Out
4 more out, 5 to go. Let's all hope the success continues to a final conclusion - it would be a fitting tribute to the rescuer who died.

Maybe you were a bit tic there gromit but FIFA invited the boys and their families, if they were out in time and well enough to travel to come to the final of the world cup (not mentioning any teams) in Russia - somehow I doubt they would be able for the journey, or more excitement https:/ /www.in depende nt.co.u k/news/ world/a sia/tha i-cave- rescue- fifa-wo rld-cup -final- tickets -boys-f ootball -team-2 018-a84 34201.h tml

Not up to your usual standard Jim. Disappointing.
The man's idiocy is beyond comprehension. One man has already died as a result of it. There is no way any time should be wasted on him or anybody else placed in peril. He found his way in. He should be able to find his way out. If he does get out he will probably be lynched by the boys' families anyway.

I doubt anyone could feel worse than he does for landing them all in this mess. One person lost his life which he hasn't been told about so he'll feel even worse when he learns of that. The monetary cost to the country must be enormous. He didn't do it on purpose, he made a mistake, albeit a dreadful one. I was furious with him at first but now I feel rather sorry for him as this will bear heavily on him for the rest of his life.
He was a Buddhist monk apparently. I've copied this from Canary's link for those who haven't read it.
// Assistant coach Ekapol Chantawong (Nickname: Ake), 25
Ake was reportedly born in Myanmar and lost his parents at a young age.
Prior to becoming a football coach, he spent several years as a Buddhist monk, and learnt how to conserve energy by restricting movements and meditating. According to local news reports, he taught these techniques to the boys in the cave.
In his letter, Ake apologised to the parents for taking the boys into the cave network, but several replied to say they did not blame him.
"I promise I will take care of the kids as best as I can," Ake wrote.
Some media reports suggest when the group was found Ake was weakest, having refused to eat any of the food they had brought with them, giving it instead to the boys. \\
