Also, what do others think of Q.78? I want to put overture as my answer, but it wasn't Beethoven who wrote the 1812 Overture, it was Tchaikovsky. Am I misunderstanding the question?

Thanks Scorpiojo and Mallyh for your various suggestions. My brain is obviously not functioning very well today.

Regarding Q.78, I don't know what to do about that one. I keep wondering if the setter has made a mistake, thinking Beethoven wrote the 1812 Overture instead of Tchaikovsky, but I just don't know. Beethoven wrote 9 symphonies, two of them in/around 1812, but why pick that year? I'll have to keep puzzling this one.

Yes, mallyh, I know all about the 1812 Overture, but it's nothing to do with Beethoven. It's a work by Tchaikovsky, but the question says Beethoven's 1812 composition. Just wondered how others had interpreted this question.
