Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I enjoyed this but found the entry method tricky right to the end. The endgame didn't need too much grid staring and taught me some interesting new facts. Another debut I think?

Some of the clues in the second column were, indeed, very easy, but I'm grateful for that, given the entry method. I got a bit confused in the NE and had to go back to sort out the mess.

An excellent puzzle. The grid must have taken ages to construct. Any setter who constructs such a grid, for which a computer program is no use, has my unbounded admiration.

What a lovely puzzle. Theme was new to me, and I really enjoyed the novel entry method. I would love to know how long it took to construct the grid and make sure the fill was fair.

I enjoyed the entry method; the clues were good for beginners, and there was much grid staring before I homed in on the required thematic cells. Thus much entertainment for all here, plus further education for me as I was blissfully unaware of the event.

Excellent debut (if it is one) - superb construction. After initial difficulties with the method of entry it all fell into place nicely. Not all the clues were that simple by any means. I, too, took a long time to spot the theme whose origins were unknown to me. Glad I did this.

Unlike others we found several of these clues quite tricky.
The entry method made things more difficult as there were rarely "letters towards" to help, making most clues cold solves.
But a nice, clean and unequivocal finish.
