No marklb, he's not in a James Bond novel.

If you know the race in which the horses in Q45 ran, then that's the character's surname. Find an 'only fools' character nickname, and you can then find the author of those novels.

Boy, I still don't get it. I know the name of the race and I know the answer to 45 but I didn't find a character with a last name the same as the race. Is this a minor character? It's driving me crazy.

sleuth, the name of the race is the same as the surname of the character in the book. The nickname of the 'only fools' character needs the 4th letter changing which doesn't make much difference to the sound of the name. There are only two of the usual characters I can think of with nicknames.

sleuth, forget the answer to question 45 concentrate on the name of the race and then the nicknames of 'fools and horses' , there are only two, google with these names, when you hit the correct one, you will get pages and pages of the anti-hero!
