Key Safe
6 Answers
I have been told that I can give the Emergency Services the 4 code digit number to a key safe if I ever have to phone them. Any advice if this is correct would be appreciated Not too keen on giving my neighbours a key or the code as I have not lived here very long and don.t want to be a burden on them but I am sure that when I get to know them better I will be able to. I don.t need to go down the red button lifeline route where you have to have nominated key holders. Just thought if I had a key safe fitted outside and give the code to ambulance etc this would put my mind at rest.

If you need to call the emergency services, then you can give them the code over the phone. Otherwise maybe if you are concerned about being in a situation which prevents you from calling yourself, then you might need to rethink the lifeline service.

To answer the OP - I'm not sure how you would 'register' the number on a permanent basis with the Emergency Services?
It would be OK if you called them & could give them the number to access the house, but if you are incapacitated and someone else calls (who doesn't know the number) then there is a potential problem.
