Good Morning Early Birds!

Friday. No frost this morning, almost springlike outside! I went for a bit longer stroll along the lane, hence being a bit late.

The meeting with the Stroud Councillor went very well. I showed her the site of Brimscome Port and explained what was required and why there was a port so far inland. She asked some good questions, which I was able to answer. We had a drink in the Ship afterwards, cutting a boring story short, we're going to meet again! :o}

Actually, we're going to visit the Waterways Museum in Gloucester Docks. I've never been in there, neither has she. :o}

She swill report back to the council and they will work out if they can chuck a few bob in the kitty, and what other assistance they can offer.

I should have added that the council are partners in the project, so have a vested interest.

oz it won't get too serious, she is married, but her hubby works away most of the time, so it is just companionship. onist! :o}

I'm very good. I have new pyjamas, I didn't know how happy they'd make me :-)

Not about gaining funding, that's already in place, it's about a new Councillor wanting to get up to date on the project. It was, however, good that we got on so well. That bit of the restoration will cost about £10,000,000.

I live in pyjamas...I have a pair of jeans in the under stairs cupboard for when I need to go to the shop :-)

I'm lucky in the fact that my OH and son have dirty jobs and have to wear Hi Vis clothes so me being in my pyjamas means they don't bat an eyelid..
