Trumpet
Does anyone play one? I have just watched 'Rio Grande' - John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara etc. dated of course, but interesting in the history of cinema., and what struck me was the standard of trumpet playing - it being about the cavalry there was a lot. The sound didn't correspond to the picture of the soldier on screen, it sounded so crisp with added tremolos within the notes.
It seemed to me to be an object lesson in trumpet playing (though I know nothing about it).
I once knew someone who played trombone and I remember him talking about 'triple-tonguing'.
Can anyone explain and understand why I am intrigued?
