Local Quiz

I need some advice please. The quiz in question is alocal one and the criteria is all answers have two words and they both start with the letter F.
The clue is "Day of the Jackal".the answer is two words - the first one has 9 letters and the second one 8.
The obvious answer is Frederick Forsyth who wrote this book but that works out at 9 and 7.I have checked to see if Forsyth can be spelt Forsythe but apparently not so either something is wrong or I have (probably) got the wrong answer.Any suggestions will be appreciated.

It is not unusual for setters to make errors in their clues.I would say that your answer is correct.

Thank you Danny for you answer. It looks as if I have the right answer - I shall just have to spell Forsyth as Forsythe as that will be what the quiz setters have obviously done.I have known slight errors before like singular and plural answers not really matching so I know it can happen.Your input is really appreciated.
