I have recently bitten into a really hot boiled potato and now have what feels like a huge, pendulous blister on the roof of my mouth. It doesn't hurt but it feels really odd.
How long is it likely to be 'hanging' around? Days? Weeks?

It will be fine by Monday.

Thank you, Sqad. I'll hold you to that. :-)

Will it burst or just dissipate?
You will probably find that it bursts quite soon and the loose skin flap will be discernible but it too will be shed. A tender area will be present for a short time but Sqad is correct - healing is very quick.
Not long. After my son had a bit of a mishap the Dr said the mouth heals very quickly.
Ooh! nasty, Tilly. I've had similar in the past. Should soon settle down.

It's gone. No trace of my blister. :-)
