Isn't it ironic that a JD voucher is the voucher of choice? Not a Argos voucher or an iTunes voucher.. But a JD voucher. The one high street shop, i personally regard as being rather "chavie"
So, if this man (who is part of a informal knife amnesty) knows that JD is the preferred shop of choice for knife wielders, then why not allow the police to stop and search people who predominantly wear / buy clothes that appear to be from JD? Or is that stupid?
But if the stereotype is proven to be accurate, what's more important? Proventing innocent people getting stabbed or someone potentially getting offended? It's targeting people by a known knife factors, not by race or anything people can choose to prevent.
A lot of knife carriers shop at JD does not mean a lot of JD shoppers carry knives. It may mean 1% of JD shoppers are knife wielders compared to say 0.7% at McDonalds and 0.6% at Asda, but it's hardly a good use of police time
Well good because I didn't actually call you a chav. I said that I regard the shop as being rather chavy. Not in association to the status of people who go into the shop, but more the behaviour of those who enter and purchase that are of a certain age that would choose to shop there rather than say, primark or a shop that's associated with other social groups such as skaters, goths or punks.

Have you investigated how this gentleman funds his largesse. Does JD support his cause ?
I suppose knife crime will now rocket for a different reason. Theft !
