Lucky it was mainly peaceful.
It’s not clear what exactly what they were demonstrating AGAINST. Obviously FOR Brexit, and presumably pleased with the vote as it means No Deal is still a possibility.
It was two rival and it seems entirely separate protests as well: Nigel and his Brexit party, and UKIP and their own folk.

What worries me is that that if enough people talk up to the spectre of violent protests then unscrupulous people will simply try to oblige.
The protesters yesterday whatever else you may say about them were almost entirely peaceful: the arrests were by the sound of it drunken hangers on. Protest is good. Whether you agree with it or not.

I wondered how long it would be before Tommy Robinson was brought into the argument. Still described as the founder of the EDL which he distanced himself from a long time ago.
