I have discovered a GREAT insect repellant. Its Avon skin so soft dry oil body spray.
It has to be the original fragrance and it really really works. The shower cream and body lotion are top stuff too and cheap as chips. DH has really dry itchy skin atm due to not being well, being in hospital and wearing ted stockings and also having to wash with hibiscrub. He was clawing himself to bits and can't have antihistamines now. He has started using the lotion and shower cream and has improved markedly in about 4 days. The spray is great for moisturising in a hurry but also really does seem to repel the biters.
Hope that this week brings you better news Shaney. Nether regions take ages to heal.

Good moaning everyone, how are all the bites and bottoms? I hate insect bites, for years I used to swell up for days but then they injected me monthly and although I was still bitten, they didn't react. Now I rarely get bitten.

Am hiding in the bedroom away from this intense heat, am getting whiter by the day as too hot to lay outside, but must try!!!

Not another biting bug to worry about? I've only just got over my paranoia after the bite on face, jaw like Desperate Dan incident a few years ago. I've had one on my arm this week but it wasn't too nasty. I usually take an antihistamine if I only think I've been bitten, I never wait to see if it turns into a golf ball anymore 'cos by then the damage's started.
My neighbour's husband who regularly walked down the river always swore he was never bitten when he wore Old Spice, haha.

neti, re your Nero problem, are you sure you've actually got a recordable disc? If it's telling you it's the wrong sort, maybe it is, or maybe it's Nero itself that's misreading.

Bit dull here and I'm keep a weather eye out as I have loads of washing out .
Touch wood I haven't been bitten this year yet and I don't want to be either ! .They normally hone in on me like radar scanners .
I might try that Avon stuff Woofie .I've got some other stuff I put on legs when in the garden for any length of time but it stinks .I think I read somewhere else that it keep these critters away. I've now got a loan fly buzzing round .There's always one :)

His days are numbered though ....any..... minute ......now !!. Got him.
I knew the Sunday paper would come in useful for something apart from the crosswords .
