Watching this tonight I was surprised at the outfits of the blonde presenter in a wheelchair, sorry I cannot remember her name.
She had 7/8 different outfits on and everyone was an off the shoulder number. Some more revealing than others.
I'm not prudish but I felt the outfits were not really appropriate for a documentary like this.
Did anyone else see the programme and what are your views?
Just clicked on your link, hc, and had the fright of my life. You could've warned us that the first thing we would see would be that grinning oaf, Greg Wallace.
As for the outfits, if that's how she normally dresses, then i don't see anything wrong.
It must be difficult for a woman in a wheelchair to 'dress to impress'. Everything is shortened with knees bent in a seated position, she is literally looked down on all the time unless the person she is speaking to is seated.
Clothing can get rucked up round the waist and hips giving the appearance of far more material than there is. Baring her shoulders is a good distraction and highlights what she believes is her best feature.
The same applies to a man in a wheelchair. Wearing a suit and tie would look wrong with all that material bunched around the middle.
Nikki has found a style that suits her, she usually looks very smart and confident. Good for her.
Just had a peep of the video link, and I cant see any problem with what she was wearing. I probably wouldn't even notice if my attention hadn't been drawn to it. It was obviously shot in the summer and she is wearing summer clothes. She has good shoulders and wears the tops well. Absolutely agree with hc. It is difficult for a disabled person/ wheelchair user to dress with confidence. I can empathise.
