My good ness. This is a tough one for an old man! I knew it would be hard and feel quite pleased that I have done most of it . But a couple are defeating me. I'd be glad of help.
The first two are interlocking.
32down. Fifth largest area of fresh water in the world. (4,5) I'm pretty sure the first word is "Lake" and maybe the second is "Huron, though I cannot verify that it IS the 5th largest etc. . And if it is the right answer it blows a hole in my other problem clue
46across (6) In architecture, supporting bases or plinths. I'm no expert but a bit of research suggested "zocles ' might be the answer. But, if it is, Huron can't be right for the other clue because there is an "e" where the "o"appears in Huron.
I have another problem but I'll stop there for the moment.

My other question is this
4down Rare beautiful fine art treasures which appeal to connoisseurs. (6,2,5) the first word is, ham sure "objets" , the second would usually be "de"(though I don't have the interlocking word) . The last word goes ?e?t?. Is is it "vertu"?
And that brings me to my final query.
20 ac Boots with elastic sides. Not to put too fine a point on it, I am no expert in fashion. If "de" is right in my other question, this would be ?e?I?a?
Any thoughts?
