I think our friend Prof Rhebus should have his knuckles rapped for the howler in the 6D clue.
Guy Gibson VC would not be happy having his 617 squadron mixed up with the fictitious 633 squadron. Lol

I must apologise for said howler - knuckles have been rapped (on both hands!) and the clue has been rectified. Sadly of course it's too late for the puzzle just published, but in future years I will make sure I get it right to respect the courage of the real flyers.
the mistake was not picked up by my checkers.
I have been mighty busy since I went technicolour, although I notice that there has been no Pwts activity on AB since then till now.
Any comments you have on the colour, and anything else much appreciated
Kind regards,
CJR

No, I've not done a runner - I like the drawing, and smirking at my own jokes (Sad!) too much!
I was wondering if I was making them too easy, but I suppose the easier ones will suit some folk.
I was going to one that was simply the word baronet, with an arrow to the t (11), but ended up with a pic. of a rod, an X, and a bell ringing. Was I right, do you think?
