My First "gig" This Evening ........

As some of you may, or may not know ..... I've been performing magic (mainly card tricks) for aaaaaages now.
I only usually do it in my local pub for family and friends. I just take my cards out every weekend and sometimes perform the odd trick or two.

Well, I've been asked to perform at a wedding today. I don't like asking for money (even though I know magicians don't come cheap), so I simply asked for my return taxi fare to be paid for and some beer vouchers ......

As I'll be performing for a few hours, I'm busy sorting some kind of repertoire out and getting some props, etc together.

If you're at a wedding in Clitheroe (East Lancs) this evening and there's a magician there ..... you just never know :)

Giz - If you've lived in (or near) Clitheroe for a long time you might remember Pye's photographers on York St, opposite CRGS. Back in the 50's/60's their son John started up like you and now is a big-wig in magic circles (President of The International Brotherhood of Magicians). Good luck to you.
