I've just caught this by chance on BBC 4... it was mostly about 'News of the world' album back in '77 (I was five at the time) but even having backtracked... and have loads of Queen documentaries etc... some footage I'd never seen before... def worth a look for any Queen fans.... amazing band.
They were hardly 'precocious boys' back in '77. Freddie was 31, Brian 30, Roger 28 and John 26.
And, as i typed this, spookily I Want It All was being played on Radio 2 :-)
My fav track from the album, Arky, is "It's Late". Proper rock music.
Hi Ken, Mines actually fight from the inside... but I am a big Roger fan... that's why I took to Drums... and apart from being crap on guitar... have you heard the version of Freddie singing all dead all dead.
Yes i have, mate. Quite brilliant. Mind you, Freddie could sing the telephone directory and make it sound good. When i see these programmes advertised on BBC4, i get a bit excited - until i begin watching, then i realise i've seen them all before and recorded much of it. I honestly don't think there is anything left out there that i haven't seen.
So true when it comes to Freddie :-) I thought I have seen almost everything documentary wise... even having the vids of ones recorded and of course magic years etc... but tonights passed me by.
I spent my childhood listening to Freddie and Queen. Never got to see Bohemian Rhapsody but will have to wait till its available on Sky Cinema or Netflix.
