So why can't they just have their two children and keep quiet about it. Instead it's like we really wanted a houseful of kids but we're restricting ourselves to two to help save the planet. Aren't we wonderful? Seems like a slight dig at Kate and William with their 3 children and, if rumours are correct, Kate hankering after a fourth. It's funny how they can be private when they want to be - wouldn't it be terrible if we knew who Archie's godparents were - and when they think it will give them kudos, we're allowed to know their thoughts.

Meghan and Harry are committed planet-saving campaigners, it is reckoned to be what attracted them to each other in the first place - so really they are simply advising of their decision based on previously stated views - I don't think it's a 'dig' at anyone, or a statement of 'wonderfulness', I think it's simply a viewpoint.

Of course, the tabloids will not allow their current targets to have a viewpoint without spinning it into something it is not.

Because then people would bleat and whinge that were keeping quiet about things that they shouldn't be, because the tax-payer has a right to know their every thought because we pay their wages blah blah blah...

I can't actually see the bit where he says they're only having two children to 'help save the planet'. I can that's what the headline says, but I can't see him saying it at any point.

Over-population of the planet is the single biggest threat to 'life on earth'.
By stating they have made a conscious decision to limit the size of their family, I imagine they hope that people will follow their lead.
