If they allow non-Germans in the post there's no excuse to ban citizens from countries that aren't members of the EU. They need fairer laws/rules.

There's lots of racial discrimination that goes on under the disguise of "EU rules". As said, if foreigners are allowed to hold posts such as these it is discriminatory to allow only citizens of EU member nations to hold them.

All EU countries (including currently the UK) operate discriminatory immigration policies which work in favour of those from EU countries and against others. The EU needs to accept that it is not (yet) a nation state but a collection of individual sovereign nations. Those nations are compelled to operate racially discriminatory policies (such as the one which may see the end of his tenure) because of their EU membership.
