The fact that this woman has risen to be head of the Chartered Management Institute, perhaps indicates why Management generally seems to be of declining effectiveness.

She advocates blokes not talking so much about football as it excludes women.

What - sexism? Women's football is becoming increasingly popular these days

Just distract them with a knitting pattern, they'll think you're a Nuclear physicist - works every time.

Totally sexist comment from this woman, surely she in her role would have been subjected to diversity training! Does she suggest pink and blue chairs to ensure no-one feels excluded from their gender-suitable topics 0f conversation?
Outrageous, poke her in the eye with her gel nails, and ban her from talking about it.
She just need a man to explain the offside rule to her. Then she'll feel that she can join in.
It used to be me starting the footie talk, and the rugby talk and the F1 talk in my office, but then I was treated more like one of the boys. I also knew more about beer than they did. Some of the other women joined in, we had a number of season ticket holders and the Midlands rivalries got pretty intense.
I think she might have wanted to use it as an example of talk that excludes certain groups, just picked the wrong one.

Still in an office of mostly young women it was easy to shut them up....get the wedding magazines out
What a load of tosh, I can talk football in mixed company and I can happily listen to men talking it, another case of let’s do and say something controversial
