My wife picked up a quiz sheet from her school. All the questions are of a Christmas base and straight forward, except for:

"What is the children's version of backgammon called?"

This has got me really stumped - I didn't know there was such a thing - so any ideas would be appreciated.

Ludo?

You send your pieces round the board and you can take your opponents' pieces as you go.

Ludo and it's derivative Sorry! were the only ideas I had, but I'm not aware of any direct connections between them and backgammon.

I thought of Sorry! too. That classic game designed to try and improve the manners of a nation.

I remember laughing sarcastically in my best evil voice as I "apologised" to my opponents as I took their pieces!
