thank you jj109
Captivated by anagram but a nice tree bears fruit (8)?
Rambutan hidden in clue
Thank you - can't believe I didn't see that. I was fixated on incubate which is an anagram but I didn't like it.
Drood is a Dickens character, put in 1ft Wide for a bit of floating timber.
Going mad with No.89. "Throw away high money on a horse. It helps to get a good tanning!" (8,3) I keep thinking it must be mountain ash but I just can't parse it. Help!
Loblolly Bay
Can anyone please offer a hint of some sort with No.77 Oak wood in Wicklow where old Bob fell but came back in good health (9). Thanks.
Thank you FoxLee2. I am not sure I would ever have got that - I have never even heard of it!
Amazingly FoxLee2 No 77 is the only one I haven't now got!
I'm puzzled Maxymax464-which one did I help you with?
Sorry FoxLee2 and also sorry jj109 because it was the latter who gave me the answer to 89.Still struggling with 77 though - the only one I have left to do.
Old Bob is shilling (S) - think of another word for 'fell' and then a word for 'in good health' backwards at the end... the result answers the first part of the clue - let me know if that doesn't help!!
DannyBoy59 you are a star. Not quite sure how the ending fits in with "in good health" backwards as strictly speaking the 6th letter ought to be E not A. However that is definitely right so many thanks.
The 6th letter is an E
But in Chambers it is an A and that is the dictionary that they use. I do agree that it should be an E though?
There is more than one way to spell the word... What are you putting at the end?
ELAH although Chambers suggests it is ALAH
