Did I Miss It
18 Answers
I’ve not seen any media links to overcrowded houses or flats crying children untidy houses with clothes all over the places ,people at there wits end . The video links are to very quiet well adjusted people in tidy places and coping with the situation . Lots of people have not adjusted to the situation we find our selves in The medical people doctors nurses and care workers are a credit in the way they talk about the situation . So perhaps it’s time a true reflection was shown . It is nothing short of just
awful out here and should be reflected in news broadcast or did I miss it

Those families were living in overcrowded, untidy houses before the pandemic and nothing has changed. The kids will be on their computers or consoles, parent(s) parked in front of the tv ignoring everything around them. At least they don't have to get up in the mornings and get the kids to school which could very well be a relief for them.

Good point, weecalf. I haven’t seen many news items of Brits struggling through the pandemic and lockdown.
There was a big piece on yesterday about South Africans struggling horribly in deprived areas.
Their lives are tough at the best of times. Now, the ones that were working have lost their jobs. No money, no food, no anything. They’re desperate and don’t care about CV so aren’t (and can’t) keep a 2m distance from each other. They just want to eat. It’s so sad.

you mean no viddie of pot bellied starving kids saying
"Miss - they came and took the tellhy and the car last night"
that would be because the kids arent dying in this one
but gransparents who tend to tidy up
just in case someone calls
( oh god and dont forget clean knickers when you take the dog for a walk)

// Those kids are trapped in an unpleasant home and no-one knows what's happening.//

Its propaganda -just like in the war where they showed rosy cheeked children tucking into suet dumplings or whatever they ate then. They did not show dead children under the rubble after the Blitz. So now in 2020 they show yummy mummies with immaculate kids in vast gardens planting seeds and making things out of old toilet rolls.-, and poor Jessica can't get to her dance class -tragic!
This is why the Government is behind the 'clap for the NHS'. Get everyone out clapping for the 'Brave' workers who go into battle without adequate defences, thanks to the Government. If soldiers were sent into battle without guns or protection we would not call them 'brave', we would be protesting on the streets, calling for the government to get something done quick.....oh hang on we can't do that for the NHS can we....because the government has put us all in lockdown...…..Mmmmmmmmm
