Thanks, JJ. I have a few clashes, the theme in general, the title... but a bit of tidying up still to do.

Thanks to you all! The information concerning the closing date has just been changed to read 8th June 2020, so I have yet plenty of time to mull over this one!
Thanks, Matakari. The closing date was shown as 8th June at 1 o'clock, you must have missed it! I'm glad ABers now have all the relevant information, that definitely makes solving/helping easier.
Just a tip when giving a link, post it as a stand alone and not in brackets.
Stuck on last one - there is always one!
36a. Has former prostitutes taking lethal dose (6)
_ O _ D _ S

Many thanks!
JJ, I couldn't confirm my original answer (I'm hoping it's one of the two in OED, which I don't have). I worked backwards - if the third letter changes thematically, I can confirm it from another clue. I'm being a little cryptic as this is such a new puzzle!
I seem to have a problem with a clash in 27 D/34 A.
34a is an anagram and 4th letter is T, 27d is a piece of music and = unable to + love. Again 4th letter is T. There isn't a clash

However, I have to admit that I ignored words when I had a definition that parsed by the rest of the clue. Here I ignored "theme singer"!
JJ, thanks. My 27 D was correct, 34 A wasn't. I've fixed the latter - and so am now all finished. It was quite good fun.
PS That was a bad definition to miss!
36 Is one that isn't in Chambers - def 'Has former' (meaning 'has' archaic) and it has a thematic letter change [4 letters for prostitutes (US slang) around the initials for 'lethal dose']
Many thanks Prof
The changes don't always involve a clash - but every letter ? must be changed for the theme to work.
...just thought I'd mention that JJ, but I'm sure you've already twigged the theme.
Thanks, PM, my reasoning - working backwards -involved some of that! The thematic element confirmed my entry.
No prof, I've finished the crossword completely, but where I have clashes I've put both letters in for now. It is getting late at night, I shall work out the theme and which letter to insert tomorrow morning!

Many thanks!
Matakari - 24 the 'busy' is slang, you need a 3 letter shortening of 'detective' [remove 'carpet', it's extra] + 6 letters for things that might give you a lift if you were under the weather (def 'art of building').
I think there's a fair bit of work to do matching the extracted stuff to the new entries, JJ (but it's good fun!).
Theme sorted and finished completely!
Many thanks both!
oops Theme sorted, but not finished completely, not as simple as I thought!
JJ, glad I could help.

I'm sure you'd find this fun if you tackled it afresh. As you said, there's plenty of time!
30 is a weird one - I think you have to 'hear' it as,''on the heavy side'', to get the first 4 letters of the answer, that's followed by a 6 letter synonym for 'track' and the def is 'layer' [often found on a wall!].
