Supermarket Shopping Made Easier?

I have, out of necessity, started shopping in store again which can be pretty stressful.
if Supermarkets produced plans of their stores, showing where groups of things are, you could do A shopping list based on location of the items which might make things quicker, safer, and less stressful?

I know a lot of people (my wife included) know roughly where things are But judging by my visit yesterday, a lot don’t.

I think a virtual aisle could be help Zac , I haven’t been to a supermarket coming up 9 weeks, my daughter does ours, she says they follow the arrows and social distancing but sometimes realise they should have picked something up which she’d passed and has had to go round again, if you had virtual aisles you could shop accordingly
I think that's a fantastic idea. Normally I personally shop in Aldi and know the store off by heart so can do my shopping list accordingly. If I ever go to Tesco I'm sure I walk twice the distance looking for things.
I have to add I'm now getting groceries delivered and spending about £50 extra a week for some reason.

Not sure about a virtual aisle, Bobbi, I just meant a simple A4 plan which they could hand out when you enter the store.

Thanks, APG.
My local Tesco decided that while they were putting down all the arrows and self isolating instructions, they would rearrange the stock as well, result? total pandemonium.

Getting tempted by the ‘offers’ which pop up, APG?

Yes, Vulcan, they would have to keep stuff in its usual place, for once!
A virtual aisle app? But then you’d end up bumping into everyone else looking at their phones :0/
Supermarkets tend to move stock around depending on how fast it is selling etc.
At one time Morrisons had a plan of the aisles on line but I don't know if this is still so.
It would be handy if you could print off a map of the aisles which has space for you to list your shopping, so all your veg is grouped, your dairy etc.
just completed an online iceland order and they'll only let me have eight pints of carlsberg, what am supposed to do tomorrow?

Your over complicating it, Bobbi pet ;-)

Yes, danny, they would either have to move stuff around less or produce revised plans (which wouldn’t be too difficult).
Tesco regularly move things round ... but not at the moment...everything is in the same place each time i visit.

Ael, tell your Doris to do another order ?
Zacs -no not really (well some...……) I normally shop in Aldi for basic stuff , Sainsbury's for stuff I can't get at Aldi and Farm Shops for meat. I'm having to buy everything on line at Sainsbury's to get a delivery and everything is so expensive. That and having a six foot gannet at home from Uni lol!

barry, that’s a nice refinement, a map which is also your shopping list. I like it.
Trying to ‘look’ intelligent man pet ;0)

Ah, I see it’s more of a ‘demand’ motivated increase, APG. We’re doing a bit of farm shop shopping but we pop for something nice for Saturday lunch and end up spending £50!
