Thanks cashier. Any help on the sequence?
I don't have the crossword Farrwest, so sorry can't help with the sequence.
phonetic alphabet....
each unclued is a synonym .....
2d could be Earwig. A flatterer.
Don't know how Spike fits in.

I have filled in the unclueds with possible words but cannot find the sequence. Though the last word is easy to spot in the top half.

ear is a synonym for spike and spencer is type of wig.
the unclued are synonyms ....e.g 15a is a synonym for Echo ...

Many thanks Roslyn & hankir. Baffling sequence!
Pabulum is indeed baffling.....some odd clues in today!
Thanks ros.

For the phonetic alphabet I have B,D,G,V and F,L,M,N - but why U as the final member
It's not U, it's the final member/last letter. The section used in the unclued answers runs from one letter right through a short sequence.
Neveracrossword - you are brilliant - I would never have gotten there on my own - Pabulum can be very obscure. Best wishes.
MrNZ, thanks - that was kind of you. Glad I could help.
Got all the unclueds, but am lost as to what to do with them. Each one is a synonym, but a synonym of what? Can yo give one more hint to set me on the trail? Many thanks!
Matakari, specific information is given earlier in this thread.
