goodness me, how many threads is that this week containing "virtue signalling" and "woke"?
The National Trust is overly concerned with political correctness - the very reason I cancelled my membership a couple of years ago. ‘Woke’ and ‘virtue signalling’ say what they mean - which appears to create a problem for those who would rather others refrain from saying what they mean.

As their 2019/20 Annual Report shows they have 5.95 million members, will they notice those dozens?
There'll no doubt be many who support this and many who don't and people vote with their feet and their money - thank goodness for difference.
When the woke brigade give up slavery products ie sugar/tea/tobacco & rubber for bike/motor tyres, I might sympathise. Slave progeny exist thanks to their forefathers masters.
They'll be safe if they have a LGBTQIA+ connection and can be coloured in rainbow stripes.

I had to get up at 6am this morning to put the rubbish out in pouring rain and a howling gale. I won't be woke until I have had at least another cup of coffee.
