I might add that by calling Answerbank a cheats paradise you are including many decent people in your sweeping generalisations and of course many of the Q&A sites across the internet.

Some are cheats. How can anybody argue against that? It has been stated by setters here and elsewhere and by others that are not setters. But I did NOT call anybody specifically a cheat, just stated that cheating should not be encouraged.

Wow ... A simple mistake made in a rush to finish off a quiz as I am currently doing 9 others has certainly put the cat among the pigeons!!
Let me tell you that, on receipt of the quiz, I noticed in very small print that no questions were to be asked and, believe me, I prefer that sort of statement as AB often gets crowded with questions the minute a quiz is released. I do two other quizzes where the compiler requests that no questions are asked and I religiously follow the instructions. I might add that, at the age of 83, I probably am allowed one small slip-up - I very rarely ask questions on AB and never, never would I have thought that I might come into the "cheat class"! Let it be!!!!

Let me say this again, nobody but nobody on this thread has accused you of being a cheat, Hazlinny. I would not have said anything were it not clear that this site encourages people to disobey setters rules and ask for answers. Mistakes happen, of course they do, and of course you should continue to enjoy your quizzes. My beef is with this site, most definitely not you.

Hazlinny. Please don't let this put you off asking if you get stuck. There are a lot of people on here including me who only ask when they get really stuck and need help. This is what the site is for. Ok you made a mistake and was sorry for it. No harm done. You certainly won't be the last believe me! Anyway well done. Hope my brain is still able to do quizzes when I get to 83.

I compile these quizzes as a hobby. I set rules that I expect quizzers to respect. I also expect the Answerbank to respect them if they know they exist.
It is disrespectful not to do so regardless of what the Answerbank rules say.
Having said that the current arguments relating to this particular quiz have got out of hand and I would like this to stop. there is enough bitterness in the country today without increasing this in a quiz.
Q 33 seems to be causing a problem although this is not the only issue. However to try to stop this going further before someone has a heart attack I am voiding Q 33 forthwith. This is going to cause me problems as I can't contect all of the persons who have had quizzes. As far as I am comcerned please let this be an end to it.

Here we go again. If people refuse to obey the rules set by the compiler please do not enter the quiz.
I can do without you. I don't care what the OP says or Danny for that matter it is downright rude and impertinent not to honour the compiler's request. No matter how much info is on the form (which is for the your benefit) youn should read it. It only takes a few minutes. In the end it only causes aguments which arrogant Danny foments.
