I suppose like a normal crossword clue, which has the wordplay part, also a definition. I don't think these clues have a definition within, I am just grasping at straws!

Mallyh: have gone through all permutations I can think of, including Godon Bennet and By George. But COR is the most likely beginning of the name. Cordelia?
Blaris: very frustrating with no number of letters or crossers. Only definition for all 100 clues is "individual".
