Very calm here, a bit breezy last night but that's all,

No Sunday dinner here today ,had two in a row so maybe a big of Freezer Bingo for us ,I think that's the festivities done here also, never have gone for NY and stuff, I've seen the day we've queued to get in our local pub at 6 pm on NYE , that stopped after the pubs got greedy and started charging way back 20 years ago with the millennium , usually opt for a Chinese or Indian takeaway now, anyway, there's no pubs to go to anymore :0/

Beautiful in Brum,Bright and clear, taking the decorations down today. Back to healthy eating next week. What I haven't used by tonight goes in the bin or unopened stuff to the food bank.
Was wet and windy here in the night too but nice and sunny at the moment. According to the local war drums there is a big tree down at the bottom af our road so will take a look later. We also can't be bothered with going out for NY these days. Always to busy for us and to much hassle. We do usually go to friends or they come to us and have a chinese but that is out this year.
Pretty dreadful here in NW Kent. Heavy rain, high winds and just had a hail storm.
This morning’s walk is off!
blowing a hoolie most of the night, seems to be calm now
Lovely bright sunny day here and, best of all, the severe flood warning for our area has been lifted. Didn't see much of storm Bella.
It's been a bit of a stressful Christmas.
First heard, then saw, a gale-driven wheelie bin slide by my house as i closed my curtains last night on my way up to bed. Windows were rattling for a while, too, but not enough to keep me awake. Not been outside yet but is looks - and sounds - a lot calmer.
never did like NY, brothers usually have a shindig, not sure what they are able to do this year.

The south and south east ( and east ) seemes to have taken the brunt of Bella's wrath , what's the West like ,you Cornish, Bristolians and Devonians ?
And have just heard that the Chepstow race meeting - which was to host the Welsh Grand National - has been called off thanks to the extra rain Bella brought with her, leaving patches of 'false ground' along the course :-((

Arh yes and Wales too, did she sweep in from the Atlantic but under Ireland?
haven't watched the news at all, only know that the storm hit here for a time over night.
Blew like hell here last night but is lovely now. Looks like a quick walk on the prom while the sun is out. Just a pity that we cannot drop in for a pint by the log fire at the pub. Plus the Welsh Nat is off. The last time that happened it was for frozen ground I think.

Question Author
Quite bright and cold here Emmie
It was wild with wind last night down here, not too much rain but everything was banging and crashing outside, trees, plants against windows, neighbours' shed doors etc but now there's not a cloud in the sky and hardly a whisper of breeze.
its turned sunny, and blue sky
Crisp blue skies in Somerset. Tho last night was quite blustery
