prada sunglasses

i have just got some prada sunglasses . how can you tell if they are genuine. on one arm it says : spso3d 1ab-1a1 115 on the other arm it says : prada made in japan ce. are prada glasses normally made in japan? the case says made in italy and the cleaning cloth just says prada

Well, it depends where you bought them. If it was direct from Prada or a department store they are genuine, however you would already know that. If you have bought them from Ebay or someone else who does not supply direct from Prada then they are almost 99% guaranteed fake. If you want the real things, you have to pay.

i was given them. they look genuine but someone said that prada dont get thier sunglasses made in japan, i was hopeing someone had a real pair and can tell me where thiers were made.

Hi Kopend, I have a lot of Gucci stuff from shoes, dresses, bags to sunglasses and it's all made in Italy, I'm wearing a pair of Hugo Boss shoes and they too are made in Italy, I would be surprised if Prada didn't make thier stuff in Italy too. Hope that helps

Genuine Pradas would say "made in Italy" mine do, i've just checked and they were bought from a reputable opticians

All Prada Eyeglasses are supplied with :- when bought new

Prada box - Dark grey shoebox style with Prada logo in middle on lid. All barcodes are on the bottom.
Prada case - Leather, suede inside with logo, flips open, Prada logo debossed on top of case.
Prada cloth - Prada cloths are Black microfibre, come with jagged edge and have logo de-bossed.
Prada certificate - Credit card style authenticity card in gloss white. Comes in small prada envelope.


All new Prada model numbers have the following letters at the end :-

Prada Sunglasses - model number end with 'S'
Prada Eyeglasses - model number end with 'V'


All Prada eyewear is manufactured in Italy. On the inside of the arm you will find 'Made in Italy'
