For a long time you've given many people lots of great advice on AB, particularly about laptops, so when I came across this I thought I'd challenge you with it - should be a doddle for an ex-maths teacher, and something to keep you going till it's time for the Friday quiz!

I might print that out tomorrow but I actually HATE things like that.

All through my life, friends and family have given me books of 'logic' puzzles and things like electronic sudoku games but I simply don't enjoy them. They drive me nuts!

Ha ha, yes I hate puzzles like that, too - make my head go funny. But I persevered, all the while thinking along the lines of 'the flagon with the dragon has the pellet with the poison, the vessel with the pestle ....'

I used to love puzzles like this. When I was younger if I had a spare pound I’d buy a Logic Puzzle magazine. I might print it out tomorrow and have a go.

I love these. I get a logic problem magazine on subscription. I can't watch the tv without having some sort of puzzle to do at the same time. Will print it out tomorrow and have a go.
