Name of recent film of mysterious recluse

Recent film (this year), possibly foreign (Italian?) where the film follows a man going to and from his office to his (hotel) room - seem to think that he holds a great secret, but it had reviews saying that it was a fairly hard going arthouse film that was too intriguing for its own good. Any ideas? Not much to go on I know! Thanks
