guesses

1 Gorillaz

2 Taggart

Pinky & Perky?

i think number 1 could be the wombles or the smurfs
I would say The Archies, no1 for eight weeks with sugar, sugar
according to the guiness book of hit singles the smurfs had 54 weeks and the wombles 95 if that helps any
the archies were only in the charts for 26 weeks

I bow to your knowledge Jan-- i misread it as one record only. as you will know the archies only had one hit whereas the wombles must have 5 or more

would 1 not be that crazy frog tune?

Prime Ministers - You need to add Clement Attlee - he was elected after Churchill.

Apologies - Attlee did not appear before the Queen.
