A festival guest spends £215 plus £112.75 plus £75.50 = £403.25. This equals (approximately) £100.81 per day, so they spend more per day.

The other question requires a diagram to be drawn- not easy on AB.
215 + 112.75 + 75.50 = 403.25 for 4 days
65 x 4 = 260 for 4 days
So the festival visitor spends more per day.
second question: do you know what symmetry
2 marks so they clearly dont think it is difficult

You have to make a pattern with black and grey

if you made two eyes and a nose a vertical line ( only) will reflect the pattern

if you made two eyes only - then a vertical line between the eyes is one axis and a horizontal line is another axis. You may need to revise - symmetry, axis, horizontal and vertical
I'm lost Peter, I don't have grey ink.....
answer 2 (margaret tom)shows that this is not a number crunching question
( "the answer is the second" )
but requires explanation - - - but as usual - - how much

the average per day is £65 . this is for 4 day - so it is £ 4 x 65 which is £260.
In your class you will have been taught whether you are allowed £ in calculations or 4 d @£65 is £260
or whether (as we did er 50 y ago)
you have to strip off the unit s( £ and d) do the calculation and then put the units back in (*)
no £ .... 65
no d ..... 4 - - - - 65x4 = 260
total cost £260

(*) this ws to show you didnt multipy days, you multiplied numbers....

next maths lesson - listen and concentrate !
A tourist spends £65 per day

A festival visitor spends 215 + 112.75 + 75.50 per 4 days which
is 403.25. Divide this by 4 to get a daily spend of £100.81

The festival visitor spends more.

Thank you all.
@Pete Pedant. I understand symmetry but I'm confused with the question by the quantity of tiles. It says 3 black tiles and 1 grey tile. I got it figured out now. Thanks
not the first and not the last
I dont want to give a shape as that wrecks the learning experience

a face with a nose doesnt have a horizontal axis of summetry as we dont have a nose on our foreheads .... is that too anatomical ?

Poor miss X darn da road whom I was grinding/drilling an hour a day for a monf (that would be er 28 h, damned hard labour both sides) was tested back at skool and moved up a year (in maff) - so um her parents thought it was all worthwhile
