We went to see him many years ago when it was my grandparents' golden wedding anniversary, He was brilliant, very funny and not a smutty joke in sight. He came down off stage and presented them with a lovely bunch of flowers and a bottle of champagne and had some photographs taken with them. Made their night. Lovely man. Denise Lewis, the ex athlete, is his daughter-in-law. Commiserations to the family.

Very funny, very kind, very friendly. Saw him at Great Yarmouth, I think it was. Another decent comedian gone, there aren't many left.
