its another early start, but i think that i prefer this time of day when it's relatively quiet,
to later when the world wakes up. I have begun to feel like a hot house flower, its so humid again despite the torrential downpour we had yesterday, where yours truly got a bit wet, even with a brolly in tow. I hope that you have as good a day as possible whatever you have got going on.
met up with a friend yesterday for a drink, which was nice, we sat under one of the plastic pods whilst this massive storm raged round us, in the hope that it would pass, it didn't, it just got worse.
I had to make a beeline for home in it getting thoroughly wet. Looking like a drowned rat isn't good. I hope that the weather improves as my friends are off to Wales for a weeks holiday.
nothing worse than being away and the weather is dreadful.
Hello emmie, shame you got caught in the rain after all the lockdown time indoors. Hopefully all those storms will finish sometime this week and we could enjoy less humid times.
i hope you are right, i didn't have a choice of fast walking yesterday out of the storm to home, i fear my friend who was off to see some friends in North London must have got soaked. The storm raged all afternoon, and i can safely say its the worse one i have seen for an age.
London looked bad on the news yesterday.Still, after thise dreadful floods in Europe we must be grateful I suppose.
It is peaceful today even the dawn chorus is late starting. No breeze at all but not forecast to be extremely hot, thankfully. I will have some breakfast and make an early start with some gardening I think. Secateur pruning and weeding until 8 o'clock and then out with the lawn mower and strimmer. I am a thoughtful neighbour ;) Hope you have a good day emmie.
sounds like fun, you have a good day, i will have some breakfast later and then see if the clock that i ordered turns up today. I hope so as i am missing seeing one in the living room.
Morning all, quite pleasant down here this morning, sun up, humidity ok through the night - had to pull the duvet up and over as it was a little chilly around 4.30.
have you tried just a sheet over you in bed? - could put the duvet at the bottom to act as a pull-up if you get chilly.......that's what I did last night.
