AB ed can I ask why some people get away with having mutiple names on this site and others can't? I recently tried to open up another username and explained to ABed that I would let people know it was me and I wouldn't you to name to fool people. I then got an email back telling me that mutiple names were not allowed! Which is fair enough. So my question is this... How can you let people who are open about how many names they have, still keep their mutiple names? Some people on this site tell us all who they are and how many names they have but nothing gets done about it. Surely thats favouritism?
Just wondering.

heavy sigh, here goes:
The AB discourages people to open up multiple user accounts, and where we have absolutely undeniable proof that a person has multiple user names we will unregister the duplicate. But as netti so correctly points out, all you need to do is open a new email account and register a new AB account under that one. So, in a way, we really have no way of technically enforcing the rule.
In the online forum/chat world there is such a thing as "netiquette". Having only one username per forum is a typical netiquette rule. Rarely do online forums have the technology to actually enforce it, however.
The only thing I could suggest is that we have an AB amnesty programme where users with aliases can request, without fear of retaliation, to have their duplicate accounts de-activated.
Its up to you, this is your AnswerBank after all. Any takers?

I am not quite sure I understand that last bit Ed? Sorry.. I'm being a dunce today.
I understand what you are saying though and that it is difficult to enforce such rules. Another website I used to use stated the persons I.P address everytime they posted, so even if they used a different name we could check the I.P address and still realise it was the same person. Would that be possible at all? I know that if people had more than one computer then they would still be able to have mutiple names but it would cut down the chances of it all.
